Upon arrival at Bodh Gaya via flight or train, our representative from Journey DMC will be there to welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Mahabodhi Temple, where Gautama Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. Explore the temple complex, including the Bodhi Tree and the Great Buddha Statue. Enjoy the serene ambiance and participate in a meditation if interested.

After breakfast, we will be visiting the Dungeshwari Cave Temples which is also known as the Mahakala Caves. These caves are where Gautama Buddha practiced asceticism before attaining enlightenment. 

Explore the caves and take in the spiritual atmosphere. Return to Bodh Gaya and visit the Thai Monastery and the 80-foot tall Buddha statue. In the evening, visit the Bodhgaya Archaeological Museum to learn more about the history of Buddhism.

 

Overnight in hotel. [-/-/D]

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and depart for Lumbini, Nepal. The drive from Bodh Gaya to Lumbini will take approximately 5-6 hours by road. Once you arrive in Lumbini, check into your hotel and relax.

In the evening, visit the Maya Devi Temple, which marks the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. Explore the temple complex and the Ashoka Pillar. Take a leisurely walk around the Lumbini Gardens.

After breakfast, visit the various monasteries and temples in Lumbini. Some prominent sites to explore include the World Peace Pagoda, Myanmar Golden Temple, the Chinese Monastery, and the Thai Monastery. Take time to meditate or reflect on the peaceful surroundings.

Later, in the evening we will be exploring the Lumbini Museum to learn more about the history of Buddhism and Lumbini's significance. Enjoy a sunset walk around the beautiful Lumbini Gardens.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel. If time permits, you can visit nearby attractions like Tilaurakot, the ancient capital of Kapilvastu. Afterward, depart for your onward journey, whether it's back to Bodh Gaya or your next destination.
