Kumbh Mela is one of India's most religious festivals, celebrated every 12 years or so on the banks of four sacred rivers: Prayag, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain. Pilgrims on this festival immerse themselves in holy water to remove all sins in their lives. Additionally, the celebration includes extravagant expositions, religious lectures by gurus and saints, and mass feeding of the poor.
